With his 5th Place finish in Atlantic City, Zelski became the Eagles' first State Medalist since 2009, and their first freshman to place at States since 1995. His Region Championship was South's first since 2012, and he joined Glenn Pritzlaff as the only Eagles to win Region Titles as freshmen.

Freshman Jack Zaleski finished in 5th Place at 106 pounds to become the Eagles' first State Medalist since Charlie Croce in 2009. Zaleski is also South's first freshman to medal in the State Tournament since Blair Tugman in 1995.

Jack Zaleski joins Glenn Pritzlaff as the 2nd freshman to win a Region Title for the Eagles. Zaleski is also South's first champ since Nick Herring in 2012. He moves on to Atlantic City, where he will be joined by fellow freshman David Hussey, giving the Eagles multiple State qualifiers for the 2nd time in three years.

Down Low (106-132): 3-time District Medalist, Michael Holland, who enters the season with 77 career wins, provides the senior leadership down low for a very group otherwise comprised of all underclassmen. Among those youngsters is sophomore Travis Tuminelli, who is coming off a solid rookie season in which he racked up 29 wins. Sophomores Ryan Madden, Kaden King, Kyle Evans, and Brandon Slavin will all look to compete for spots in the lineup, while freshmen Jack Zaleski, Moises Morales, and David Hussey will all look to make an impact as well.

In The Middle (138-160): Junior Owen Fitzgerald won 21 bouts last season, and finished 4th in the District. He, along with returning starters Nick Holland, who won 16-bouts as a freshman last season, and senior Jordan Sherman, along with sophomores Harrison King and Alex Quintano, give the Eagles experience in the middleweights, as several of the promising underclassmen also expect to see action in the lineup.

Up Top (170-Hwt): Jack Willi and Jason Reeves both started as freshmen a year ago, and are the most experienced of the group up top. Aidan Caruso, another sophomore, saw extended action last season and will be looking to take the next step with that year under his belt. 

The Eagles finished  the 2017 season with just 17 wrestlers in the room. Fast forward to 2020, and there are over 60 wrestlers in the room, many with a lot of potential for big things, thanks to the thriving feeder system. There are just a few seniors in the room, so this is going to be a very young team, but they have had a good deal of success at the feeder level and are really looking to build the program into something special. This is definitely a rising program to keep a watch on.
